Another successful 7k in the books!

North Meck Rescue 7k presented by the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Burn Center

Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 marked another successful chapter of the Rescue 7k as 82 runners completed the fall colored 4.35 mile course throughout The Park - Huntersville. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day, with race-start temperatures in the crisp cool 40's and a beautiful, cloud-free, Carolina Blue sky.

So Close!!! Three seconds from $7K!

For the first time, this year, the Rescue 7k offered runners an opportunity to "Run 7k, Win $7k!"™ All runners over 18 years of age who finished the 7K in 90 minutes or less were eligible. The randomly preselected time was 1:00:35. One runner was only 3 seconds away from $7000.00!!! Though we weren't able to give away the $7K this year, we will be offereing the same great opprtunity next year. Check back in the Spring for race dates and registration oppoprtunities.
